Considering that nurses\/technicians make up more than 1\/3 of the employees in the global health system, the role of nurse technicians is vital for the functioning of a health system, which has been shown even in the difficult moments of the pandemic.<\/p>\n<div dir=\"auto\">We congratulate our students and all nurses\/technicians on this significant date.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">A few notable facts:<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<ul>\n<li>Globally, there are more than 27.9 million employees in healthcare, of which 19.3 million are professional nurses.<\/li>\n<li>Nurse technicians are the largest occupational group in the health sector with a total of 59 %.<\/li>\n<li>In 2018, it was estimated that there was a global shortage of more than 5.9 million nurses in the system.<\/li>\n<li>The employed nurses\/technicians are relatively young employees, but there are also regions with an older age structure in America and certain European regions.<\/li>\n<li>To reduce the shortage of nurses\/technicians by 2030 in all countries, the number of graduated nurses\/technicians should increase by 8% per year, but in parallel with the continuous employment of these graduates.<\/li>\n<li>86% member countries of the WHO (WHO) have a responsible body for the regulation of nursing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div style=\"width: 640px;\" class=\"wp-video\"><!--[if lt IE 9]><script>document.createElement('video');<\/script><![endif]-->\n<video class=\"wp-video-shortcode\" id=\"video-1086-1\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" preload=\"metadata\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"video\/mp4\" src=\"https:\/\/medf.unze.ba\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/videoplayback.mp4?_=1\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/medf.unze.ba\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/videoplayback.mp4\">https:\/\/medf.unze.ba\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/videoplayback.mp4<\/a><\/video><\/div>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>May 12th is the International Day of Nursing.
