Prizes awarded to the best students in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina
To the best students in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina on Tuesday, 21.12.2021. year, in Sarajevo, well-deserved recognitions and one-time monetary awards for excellent success achieved in the academic year 2020/2021 were solemnly presented. year.
The Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Fadil Novalić, presented awards and recognition to the best students, to 74 students, who were nominated by faculties that operate as part of public higher education institutions in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina: University of Sarajevo and Franciscan Theology Sarajevo, universities in Tuzla, Zenica and Bihać, and "Džemal Bijedić" University in Mostar and the University of Mostar.
According to the criteria established and published by the Ministry, the best students of the final year of the first cycle of studies, i.e. integrated studies, who had the best grade point average of 10 or close to 10, or 5 or close to 5, were awarded.
In the field of higher education, the Ministry also this year supported quality improvement projects and labor market connection projects at all six public higher education institutions in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It subsidized accommodation and food for around 300 students from the three least developed cantons: Posavina, Bosansko-podrinje and Canton Deset, as well as Republika Srpska. It supported the organization and participation of student associations in 24 student projects, supported the studies of 37 students with disabilities and 4 Roma students, i.e. all those who applied for this type of support.
The Ministry also operates the Foundation for the Mobility of Students and Teachers of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, whose focus is the support of the mobility of students and teaching staff, that is, the improvement of this process in our country.
Otherwise, one-time financial support for awarded students, in the amount of 2,000.00 KM each, was provided by the Federal Ministry of Education and Science from the Budget of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the year 2021, in the total amount of 148,000.00 KM.
