Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Zenica, Assoc. Ph.D. Harun Hodžić visiting universities in Indonesia

Assoc. Ph.D. Harun Hodžić, together with representatives of universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, visited three universities in Indonesia (Jakarta, Bandung and Yogyakarta) from October 22 to 28, 2018.

On October 24, an agreement on cooperation with the University of Indonesia in Jakarta was signed, which establishes cooperation in the field of medicine, in both areas of the Faculty of Medicine, in the field of information technology, cultural studies and communication studies. It is important to highlight the fact that the University of Indonesia in Jakarta is the largest university in Indonesia, with around 40,000 students studying on its campus.

On October 25, a cooperation protocol was signed with two universities: Achmad Yani University in Bandung and Gen. University. Achmad Yani from Yogykarta. These agreements establish cooperation in the field of medicine, in both areas of the Faculty of Medicine, in the field of information technology and the field of metallurgy and materials. About 15,000 students study at the University of Bandung, while 8,000 students study at the University of Yogyakarta.

The delegation of universities from Bosnia and Herzegovina consisted of: Assoc. Ph.D. Harun Hodžić, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Zenica, Prof. Dr.Sc. Nermina Hadžigrahić, Rector of the University of Tuzla, Prof. Dr.Sc. Veldin Ovčina, Vice-Rector for Finance of the University "Džemal Bijedić" in Mostar and Prof. Ph.D. Ermina Iljazović, Head of the Department of Pathology at the University of Tuzla.

We hereby express our immense gratitude to NJ. And, to Amelia Achmad Yani, the Indonesian ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, for the entire organization of this trip and the signing of the aforementioned cooperation agreements, and for the support she provided to university representatives during the visit.
