Study/working visit

Students of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Zenica - Study program Health care, II year of study accompanied by assistant professor. Mirza Oruč MA, had the opportunity to participate in a study visit to the Polyclinic Polyclinic with Day Hospital Doboj - South and Tešanj General Hospital. During this visit, the students had the opportunity to see how different health institutions function in the area of the Zenica-Doboj Canton with an aspect of surgical health care. During the visit to JU Polyclinic with Day Hospital Doboj-South, as one of the leading health institutions in the field of ophthalmology led by Associate Professor Čabrić Emir, students had the opportunity to learn about surgical care in the field of ophthalmology and the concept of day surgery and surgical care of patients in this area. The students had the opportunity to visit the Tešanj General Hospital, where they were welcomed by Hasan Škiljo, MD, PhD, and chief medical technician Zilkić Esad, MD, who introduced the students to the functioning of the General Hospital and practically demonstrated a number of elements from the daily work of this institution.
Study/work visits by students of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Zenica are only one of the elements of the teaching process, which aims to master the teaching material as well as possible, develop competencies and achieve the desired learning outcomes defined by the curriculum.
