Visit of the representatives of the Canton of Switzerland MedfUNZA

On February 13, 2018. year, a delegation from the Swiss cantons of Geneva, Jura, Fribourg, and Bern, which as an intercantonal project supported the Mental Health Project in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the previous two phases, from 2010 to 2018, visited the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Zenica. The Swiss delegation consisted of Maria Jesus Lormand Alonso, director of the Office for International Solidarity and Beatrice Grossen, project manager in the Office for International Solidarity of the Cabinet of the President of the Canton of Geneva, and Dr. Nicolas Perone from the Geneva University Hospital, who was an expert advisor in this project. In addition to the representatives of the Swiss cantons, the meeting was attended by representatives of the Association XY Dženita Hrelja - Hasečić and Lejla Sahačić and representatives of the University of Zenica, Prof. Dr. Malik Čabaravdić, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation UNZE, Associate Dr. Harun Hodžić, Dean of Medf UNZE and Assistant Professor Mirza Oruč MA ECT (A)S UNZE coordinator.

Previous activities enabled cooperation with eminent professor Sartorius, professor of occupational therapy Silvyie Meyer and her colleagues, professors Nicole Zangrando and Mariel Marcuso, who provided valuable expertise in creating nursing documentation, and dr. Hammerle et al. Gysin-Maillart who held very well received workshops on suicide prevention.

The meeting discussed plans for future development in the field of mental health and other fields of medical and health sciences through joint activities of both interested parties.
