Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) week event: “From silent generation towards the noise of Gen Z; lessons in ageing” – panel discussion

We have pleasure in inviting you to a panel discussion “From silent generation towards the noise of
Gen Z; lessons in ageing” organised as part of the SDG week events in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The World Health Organization (WHO) Country Office in Bosnia and Herzegovina in partnership with
the Faculty of Medicine, Zenica University, will host a panel discussion which will consist of two parts:
(i) lecture delivered by Ms Zdena Šarić, one of 50 global ambassadors of the United Nations Healthy
Ageing initiative; and (ii) discussion on the topic of ageing, promotion of healthy lifestyles, and social
network for ageing population.
Ms Šarić is one of the UN Healthy Ageing 50: Leaders transforming the world to be a better place to
grow old and an inspirational champion who showcases what is already possible in the area of healthy
ageing. The lecture is intended for students, youth, local community, members of NGOs, local
authorities and healthcare professionals.
The subsequent public debate will feature some key stakeholders in the fields of social protection,
healthy ageing. During this debate, the position of elderly people – many of whom are combating
serious mental health issues, without supporting network – will be stressed.
